Montee Ball has made his decision about whether to leave Wisconsin for the NFL draft or stay for his senior season.

After rushing for 164 yards in a Rose Bowl loss to Oregon, Ball said he plans to end the mystery within a few days.

"Basically, I looked myself in the mirror and told myself what I needed to do for me, what I needed to do for my family and for my teammates," Ball told ESPN.com. "And that's what it came down to."

If Ball choose the NFL, he will be leaving after one of the most-prolific seasons for any player in college.

He led the nation with 1,923 rushing yards and tied the NCAA record set by Barry Sanders with 39 total touchdowns.

Wisconsin won't be in bad shape, however. James White won Big Ten freshman of the year honors in 2010 and has run for more than 1,700 and scored 20 touchdowns in his first two seasons.
