This is certainly an interesting way to prove you're a gaming whiz.
British company Captive Media has developed the first video game based inside a men's urinal. BBC has full details. The game is "controlled" when a user relieves himself in the urinal.
Here's a brief description from BBC:
"The user is presented with three generous targets to aim for in the urinal: stickers in the unit that read "Start", "Left" and "Right". The console is able to detect where the urine is falling by means of an infra-red device."
Players view the game from a LCD screen mounted above the urinal, and feature either a skiing challenge and multiple choice game. Users can then post their scores to a live leaderboard.
The BBC says the games are available at one bar in south London, and Captive Media plans on creating a version for women. The story also notes a similar product has been launched in Japan by developer Sega.
Mike Snider began covering the video game industry during the Super Nintendo-Sega Genesis clash in 1992. An original pinball wizard, he eventually was seduced by Robotron: 2084 and Tempest. These days he is a fan of action/shooters and lives out his Keith Moon fantasies playing a mean drum kit on music games. More about Mike.
