A Dutch woman faces stalking charges today for allegedly calling a man she described as her boyfriend 65,000 times in the past year, the BBC reports.
That works out to an average of 178 calls a day.
The 63-year-old target of the phone calls and texts denies he is in a relationship with the 42-year-old Rotterdam woman. Her lawyer claims there is a relationship and denies that his client's actions are excessive.
The BBC says a judge at a preliminary hearing in The Hague let the woman out on bail on condition she leave the man alone.
The BBC says she allegedly rang him up a couple of hours later and is back in custody.
