Calling itself "the personal network," the new, photo-centric social hub Path has launched for the Apple iPhone.
What seems to separate Path is a focus on a simpler, more intimate social experience, as explained on the network's website.
Path lets users snap photos and share them with a maximum of 50 friends. The number was based on research from an expert in evolutionary psychology.
"We know that if you are sharing with a single person you do not trust, you will not feel comfortable sharing. So we've build the personal network model to keep you in control, always," reads a blog post from Path's website.
Updates on Path are simple, requiring users to take pictures and adding tags for people, places or things.
The app is free, and available now on Apple's App Store.
Readers, what do you think of Path?
