Sarah Palin to be subject of tabloid documentary

Sarah Palin is going to get the tabloid documentary treatment.

The news and entertainment blog Mediaite reports that the possible 2012 GOP presidential candidate will be featured on E! True Hollywood Story later this month. The program is known for its account of celebrity murders, former child stars and celebrity gossip.

There's no question that Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, is a political celebrity. Her battles with the mainstream news media -- which she dubs "the lamestream media" -- are well known.

But this is a different animal.

John Ziegler, a documentary writer and director, told the conservative blog Hot Air that parts of his movie, Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin was Targeted, will be used on True Hollywood Story.

"I totally agree that on paper this would seem to be a disaster waiting to happen. After all, Hollywood tends to be at least as politically biased as the news media, but I have a feeling Palin supporters might be pleasantly surprised," Ziegler told Hot Air blogger Ed Morrissey.
