Real Madrid crushed Deportivo La Coruña 8-2 Saturday in a game that wasn’t even close to competitive. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat trick, and two of the goals Deportivo conceded were absolutely embarrassing. James Rodriguez’s first La Liga goal, however, was unstoppable. Deportivo allowed Rodriguez a few yards of space just outside the penalty area (not a good idea), and he curled a shot with his left foot over the goalkeeper, directly to the top corner at the far post. The shot was perfect.
