"Positive: A Memoir" by Paige Rawl has been chosen by the "Today" show's book club.

The Today show book club has chosen a non-fiction book for the first time.

Positive: A Memoir by Paige Rawl was announced as the pick by NBC on Monday. In the book, released by HarperCollins Children's Books on Aug. 26, Rawl, 20, shares her experiences growing up HIV-positive, dealing with bullying and discrimination.

"People out there have this stigma against HIV and I think that's why I'm sharing my story," Rawl said on the show.

Today's Jenna Bush Hager will host the book club's discussion on the memoir at The Atlantic and MAC AIDS Fund's Town Hall on Activism on Nov. 14. The town hall brings leaders from around the country to discuss social justice.
