It was beginning to seem as though Kelly Ripa would never commit to a new permanent co-host.

Since last year, when Regis Philbin exited the show on Nov. 21, Ripa has had a revolving door of guest stars sitting next to her on Live! with Kelly -- 59 different men and woman, to be exact.

Now, the show has just announced that we should look for Ripa to ride solo on Sept. 3, when she kicks off the new season. And on Sept. 4, after months of anticipation and endless speculation, fans will finally get the answer to the question, "Who will be Kelly Ripa's new co-host?"

Ripa will walk into the studio with her new partner.

Guests on Sept. 4 will include Claire Danes and Idol champ Phillip Phillips.
