A prototype test program of Google Glass was made available to UK residents Monday.

Google announced Monday that citizens in the United Kingdom can now purchase its wearable device Google Glass through a beta program.

UK residents over the age of 18 can now sign up for the Explorer Program, an invite-only beta test program, to help Google develop the wearable product for consumer sale.

Glass, eyewear that allow users to take pictures, read emails and access navigation apps while on the go, was launched by the search engine giant first in the United States in 2012 through the Explorer Program, then released to general consumers in May. Until today, only people with a U.S. address could buy the product.

Google released a video for their UK debut:

Back in the U.S., Diane Von Furstenburg became the first designer to release Glass frames for casual wear. She and Google collaborated to create five different styles of frames and eight different shades. The frames, part of the DVF Made for Glass collection, went on sale today. The price for a pair of the DVF frames is $1,800.
