After the President Clinton/Monica Lewinsky imbroglio of 1998, most of the major participants wrote books.
Now it sounds like Monica Lewinsky might be preparing a second volume.
The Page Six column of The New York Post reports that the woman at the center of the Clinton impeachment saga is "shopping a top-secret book project."
Says Page Six: "We're told Lewinsky has been making the rounds with major publishers, who were all asked to sign nondisclosure agreements to take the meetings. It's unclear who the front-runners are, but, says an insider familiar with the project, 'I'm sure every major publisher was interested in hearing what she had to say.'"
In an earlier version of this post, we thought this might be Lewinsky's first book -- but we forgot about Monica's Story, published by St. Martin's Press in 1999, which biographer Andrew Morton wrote with Lewinsky's assistance.
How this project might differ is hard to say at this point.
