Clean cut: Giants' Tim Lincecum cuts long hair

First Shaun White. Now Tim Lincecum?

According to some recent pictures, the San Francisco Giants pitcher cut off his signature long hair.

Photos of the new haircut have been floating on Twitter. But, strangely, it's gone largely unnoticed for almost two weeks.

At 5-11 and 175 pounds, Lincecum doesn't look like your typical athlete. He maintains a low profile in the offseason and is not easily recognized without his Giants uniform.

And for those who remember, Lincecum broke into the majors with short hair in 2007 and won back-to-back National League Cy Young Awards in 2008-09.

Maybe this is a sign after his disastrous 2012 season.

Earlier this week, White, an Olympic gold medalist, cut off his wavy red locks and planned to donate it to Locks of Love, the organization dedicated to helping children affected by long-term medical hair loss.
