Don’t sell people from Idaho a beer that costs $3 more than it’s worth.

A group of hockey fans from Idaho sued CenturyLink Arena, home of the Idaho Steelheads, when they discovered the arena was charging $7 for a “large” beer that held the same amount as a $4 “small” beer.

Here’s video proof of the travesty:

The large beer is clearly just a taller and thinner cup. Classic marketing maneuver.

Now, while some of you may argue these Steelheads fans should just keep their mouths shut and order the $4 small beers, because hey that’s a pretty good price especially at a sporting event, you’d all be wrong. See, it’s the principle of the matter. And these fans are looking out for their fellow man, really — they don’t want to watch some poor Working Joe walk in and spend seven of his hard-earned dollars on a beer that only purports to being large.

This is America. This will not stand.

From the AP:

Four fans filed the suit Tuesday in Boise’s 4th District Court against Block 22 LLC, which does business as CenturyLink Arena. Brady Peck, Michele Bonds and William and Brittany Graham are seeking $10,000 in damages.

They want $10,000 in damages?! OK, maybe it isn’t just about looking out for their fellow man.

In the meantime, CenturyLink Arena has announced they will issue new large cups that hold 24 ounces.
