Cranston: 'I was capable of doing very bad things'

It sounds like art does imitate life for Bryan Cranston, at least a little bit.

In an October cover interview in Men's Journal, the Breaking Bad star reveals that once upon a time, he was "capable of doing very bad things."

Seems Cranston, 56 and married since 1989, used to date an "obsessive, drug-addled" woman, reports the magazine. After trying several times to end the relationship, the Emmy winner "suddenly had what he described as an 'out-of-body experience,' where he envisioned himself brutally killing her with his bare hands."

"It was the most amazing, uncomfortable experience of my life," he says.

Cranston's childhood sounds more Walter White than Ward Cleaver: Alcoholic parents and an absent father -- a situation that led to his mother shipping him off to live on his grandfather's farm, where he gathered eggs and slaughtered chickens. "Every morning, you're collecting eggs, washing eggs, stacking eggs, putting eggs in the cooler," he tells the magazine. "It was so much fun."
