If a company can turn out some of the most eye-catching sports cars in the business, imagine what it has to do when it lends its name to a motorcycle.

In the case of Lotus, the answer is a lot.

Lotus just took the sheet off a branded motorcycle after two years development. The C-01, as the motorcycle will be known, gets stunning looks, starting with the huge enclosure enveloping the engine. Also, it has an extremely low profile. It was designed by Daniel Stern, who conceived the futuristic cycle from the movie Tron, in conjunction with the Holzer Group.

"The design process of the C-01 was a labor of love, there were many challenges, ensuring that the bike not only touches your visual senses with its timeless blend of classic appeal and modern execution, but that is safe and ergonomically sound was critical to me," says Günther Holzer, CEO of Holzer Group.

Holzer says he was the first one to ride the motorcycle. "I was very impressed," he says. "Together we have found that delicate balance between raw, aggressive power and breath-taking handling."
