Ted Nugent and the Secret Service have reportedly resolved an issue over his controversial comments slamming President Obama.
The Washington Post reports Nugent described his meeting with two agents as "good, solid, professional." The meeting in Ardmore, Okla., lasted for about 40 minutes, according to a Texas TV station.
Nugent, who has endorsed Mitt Romney for president, caused a stir with his comments over the weekend about the "vile, evil, America-hating" Obama administration. Nugent's remark that "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year" was of particular interest.
Earlier this afternoon, Nugent tweeted that he believes the Secret Service are "fine professional" law enforcement officers and that he respects them.
Nugent said in a statement that he did not threaten anyone's life "or hint at violence or mayhem. Metaphors needn't be explained to educated people," The Post reports.
