Michael Turchin (L) and singer Lance Bass attend The Abbey's 8th annual Christmas in September event benefiting The Children's Hospital Los Angeles at The Abbey on September 24, 2013 in West Hollywood, California.

One month ago, Lance Bass announced, via Instagram, that he was getting hitched.

"He said YES!! Love this man," he gushed about his fiance, artist Michael Turchin.

So, how's the wedding planning going?

"I haven't thought about it yet, really. We're going to get through the holidays and are just enjoying being engaged. We won't walk down the aisle until probably next fall. We have tons of time. This wedding is going to be a big one for sure. It's going to take a while to plan. I like to do things over the top," he says.

Who's the bigger bridezilla, Bass or Turchin?

"That's the great thing about two guys in a relationship. There's no bridezilla. We're cool with everything. But we think big and we love big spectacles, although he's way more organized than i am," says Bass.

Bass, meanwhile, is part of AT&T's Love, Making History project, which has LGBT youth share personal stories online with the company donating cash in exchange to the Trevor Project. Bass directed one of the two films on the site.

"I feel the need to just help out any group of people that's struggling. I happen to be gay so it's meaningful for me," says Bass.

He's hoping to move toward directing in TV and film: "I've been producing and I'm writing a show for E! right now. Hopefully I'll be able to direct some of those episodes. That's the path I've been on."

In August, Bass reunited with his former 'N SYNC bandmates, including most notably Justin Timberlake, at the VMAs -- but their short performance was somewhat overshadowed by Miley Cyrus and her foam finger.

"That was a one-off. Although you never know what we're going to do. We're all brothers. We're family," says Bass of the band. "I know the next thing we're going to be doing together is Chris Kirkpatrick's wedding in November. We're all ushers for that."
