Former 49ers free agent receiver Rod Streater signed with the Buffalo Bills, the team announced Wednesday.

Streater during his one season with San Francisco in 2016 appeared in all 16 games, made 18 catches for 191 yards and two touchdowns. He joined the team in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs a week before the start of the regular season.

The 49ers under new coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch elected not to retain Streater, who spent his first four years with the Oakland Raiders after going undrafted out of Temple in 2012.

Streater for his career has 127 receptions for 1,755 and 10 scores. His best season came in 2013 when he logged 888 yards on 60 receptions, catching four touchdown passes.

San Francisco has mostly remade its receiving corps, adding Pierre Garçon, former Bill Marquise Goodwin, Aldrick Robinson, rookie Trent Taylor and others. The 49ers elected to bring back 2016’s leading receiver Jeremy Kerley, who signed a three-year, $10.5-million contract in March.

San Francisco this offseason also released Torrey Smith, who signed a three-year, $15-million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
