Indoor football team's fans vote not to let Greg Hardy sign with franchise

It turns out Greg Hardy won’t start his attempted football comeback in Utah, and it’s all because fans said no to the NFL reject defensive end.

The Indoor Football League’s Salt Lake Screaming Eagles — famous for allowing fans to have a say on everything from food to playcalls — held a vote for supporters to say whether they should sign Hardy or not. When the vote ended on Wednesday evening, the “nos” won, but it appears the victory was by a small margin. The votes were split 50-50, meaning “no” must have barely won.

Hardy was charged in a domestic violence incident before those charges were dropped when his former girlfriend stopping working with prosecutors.

With under four hours before voting closed, “yes” was in the lead by 16 percent:

The fan vote was extremely close, with 50.1 percent voting against Greg Hardy being offered a contract by the Screaming Eagles. The fans have spoken; Hardy will not be offered a contract.
