One Direction singer Liam Payne and girlfriend Cheryl Cole welcome son

Louis Tomlinson just found company in the One Direction dad club: bandmate Liam Payne, who welcomed a son with girlfriend Cheryl Cole on Wednesday.

On Saturday evening, Payne, 23, took to Instagram to share his first picture with his son, whom he says doesn't have a name yet.

"I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world," he announced in the caption, adding that the birth was his "favorite memory" so far and that it will go down as one of the few times where he was "left speechless."

He praised new mom Cole, 33, noting he was "completely in awe of how she has been the whole way through this," adding, "She's really made my dreams come true."

The couple, who started dating last year, originally met on Britain's reality-competition show The X Factor, when he was a contestant and she was a judge.

And despite the fact that they haven't settled on a name for their son yet, Payne says, the baby is "already capturing hearts, including mine. I feel very blessed."
