Steelers sign free agent cornerback Coty Sensabaugh

Hot on the heels of only the second free-agent signing, the Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed a third Monday afternoon with the addition of cornerback Coty Sensabaugh, which the team confirmed via Twitter.

Sensabaugh was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2012 out of Clemson. Signed by the Los Angeles Rams as a free agent in 2016, Sensabaugh did not last long. Despite a three-year $15 million contract, he was let go just four games into his career with the Rams. He went on to play for the New York Giants for the rest of the season.

Expected Sensabaugh to compete for the slot position in the defensive backfield and to be a contributor on special teams. The cornerback has signed a two-year contract, although terms of the deal have not yet been released.

In his career’s 72 games, Sensabaugh recorded two interceptions, one sack and 194 tackles. Steeler Nation will be pleased to see the new recruit already understands the passionate fanbase he has become a part of.
