The votes from the first round have been tallied and we are now down to a field of 16 teams as we look to crown the greatest NCAA tournament team of all-time.
There were some upsets in the first round, as the sixth-seeded Texas Western team, the first national champion starting five black players, took down the 1993 North Carolina team led by Eric Montross. No. 7 seed 1984 Georgetown, led by star center Patrick Ewing, knocked off a stacked 1996 Kentucky team featuring five future pros.
All the No. 1 seeds advanced, but the 2012 Kentucky team featuring Anthony Davis nearly went down to the 2006 Florida squad. The Wildcats scraped by with just 52.9% of the votes.
