1. Stranger Than Fanfiction by Chris Colfer (Little Brown Books for Young Readers, fiction, on sale Feb. 28)

What it’s about: Colfer channels his days on Glee in this teen novel about Cash Carter, star of the hit TV show Wiz Kids, who joins four fans on a road trip.

The buzz: The author’s The Land of Stories fairy-tale series has been a big hit with young readers.

2. Cravings: How I Conquered Food by Judy Collins (Nan A. Talese/Doubleday, fiction, on sale Feb. 28)

What it’s about: The folk singer (Both Sides Now) discusses how she overcame an eating disorder.

The buzz: Collins, who continues to perform at age 77, has written other memoirs, including Sweet Judy Blue Eyes: My Life in Music.

3. Bone Box by Faye Kellerman (William Morrow, fiction, on sale Feb. 28)

What it’s about: Rina Lazarus’ discovery of a skeleton in the woods leads her husband, police Detective Peter Decker, to the trail of a serial killer.

The buzz: This is the 28th installment in the best-selling Decker/Lazarus series.

4. Dodge City by Tom Clavin (St. Martin’s Press, non-fiction, on sale Feb. 28)

What it’s about: The subtitle says it: Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and the Wickedest Town in the American West.

The buzz: “An enjoyable saga that will appeal to both Western aficionados and general readers,” says Booklist.

5. The Girl at the Baggage Claim by Gish Jen (Knopf, non-fiction, on sale Feb. 28)

What it’s about: The novelist (Typical American), daughter of Chinese immigrants, examines the “East-West culture gap.”

The buzz: A “rich exploration,” says Publishers Weekly.
