Punchlines: Awkward at the Smithsonian

Well, at least he's moved on from making awkward statements about Frederick Douglass.

Now President Trump is making awkward statements about Ben Carson.

Trump toured the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture Museum with Carson this week, and gave a speech during which he touted Carson's accomplishments and stated that his pick to head Housing and Urban Development would be great at the job. The awkward part? When the president attempted to talk about the true meaning of HUD. Late-night comic Stephen Colbert gives his take in Punchlines, above.

What other awkward moments were there? Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers show us.
