Punchlines: Transgressing on transgender issues

The administration has billed the change on transgender bathrooms as a states' rights issue but, according to late-night comic Stephen Colbert, that's just the coward's way into discrimination.

This week, President Trump rolled back the former administration's guidelines that allowed students to use whichever bathroom matched their gender identity, even if that identity was different from their birth gender. Late-night comic Seth Meyers says the fear that predators would have used previous guidelines to prey on females in public restrooms is overblown. After all, Meyers explains, if the Trump administration wants to find someone who inappropriately grabs women, they probably know where to look. More from both comics in Punchlines, above.
