Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam was arrested on multiple drug charges early Sunday morning, according to court and corrections records.

Matt Elam had four tackles this past season.

Elam was booked on three felony charges at 3:45 a.m. ET: marijuana possession of more than 20 grams, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance. The list of charges, according to the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, also includes one count of reckless driving.

Miami Beach Police said in an arrest report that Elam, who was driving a Range Rover, was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic in a reckless fashion. They later searched the car and discovered a Gucci book bag on the driver's side floor board that contained 126.21 grams of loose marijuana and six Oxycodone pills, as well as cash and jewelry.

Elam remained in custody Sunday afternoon with a bail amount listed at $15,500. There was no information available on his first scheduled court appearance.

"We have just been made aware of this and are looking into the situation,” Ravens spokesperson Chad Steele said in an email to USA TODAY Sports. "Matt Elam is not in our plans."

Elam is set to be a free agent next month after the Ravens decided to not pick up his option.

Pro Football Talk was the first to report Elam's arrest.

Elam, the Ravens’ first-round pick in 2013,  was suspended for one game without pay in 2015 for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was on injured reserve at the time.
