Superstar! Molly Shannon accepts Spirit Award with signature move

Molly Shannon did her signature Superstar move from an unexpected place: the Spirit Awards stage.
Shannon, who's still known for playing Mary Katherine Gallagher on Saturday Night Live and in the 1999 comedy Superstar, won the best supporting actress Spirit Award for playing a mother fighting cancer in the drama, Other People. She enthusiastically accepted the honor with an emotional speech about the significance of storytelling, a tribute to mothers and then a callback to her old comedy character.
"I really, truly, in this moment, feel like a superstar!" she yelled, while lunging and raising her arms the way she's famously done in SNL sketches as Gallagher. Later, Shannon told reporters that she decided to do the move "in the moment."
