Chicago Auto Show: Toyota unveils special edition RAV4, Tundra, Sequoia
CHICAGO — Toyota revealed new sport packages for its Tundra pickup and Sequoia full-size sport-utility vehicle on Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show along with an adventure package for its popular RAV4 SUV.
The 2018 Tundra TRD Sport is available on 4x4 and 4x2 models of the Tundra crew cab in CrewMax and double cab configurations.
The sport package includes 20-inch silver alloy wheels with black accents, LED headlights with black bezel and daytime running lights, mesh grille in the same color as the body.
Toyota did not release pricing.

Sequoia TRD Sport
Toyota said the Sequoia TRD Sport will be available on 4x4 and 4x2 models that are equipped with a 5.7-liter, 8-cylinder engine. On the sport package, the Sequoia's handling is enhanced with specially tuned Bilstein shocks and anti-sway bars on the front and rear.
Key exterior features on the Sequoia TRD Sport also will include:
- New front grille and bumper
- Gloss black mirror caps
- 20-inch alloy black sport wheels
- Smoked rear tail light lens
Toyota did not release pricing.
RAV4 Adventure
The Toyota RAV4 has been among the sales leaders in the red-hot compact SUV segment. So, how do you keep that momentum going when you don't have an all-new model?
You introduce new trim levels like the adventure package.
The active lifestyle-inspired RAV4 Adventure will be available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive. Both versions feature a standard towing package that includes an upgraded radiator and supplemental engine oil and transmission fluid coolers, as well as a suspension system with a higher ride height.
Exterior styling features include:
- Large overfender flares
- 18-inch five-spoke black alloy wheels
- Lower body guards
- Black headlight bezel
- Black fog lamp surround, roof racks and special adventure badges
Toyota said the 2018 RAV4 Adventure package along with the Tundra and Sequoia TRD Sport models will begin arriving in dealer showrooms in September.
