Draymond Green posted the NBA's first triple-double with only 4 points

Draymond Green is known for contributing more than just points on the court, leading the Golden State Warriors in rebounds (8.5) and assists (7.4) while he averages just 10.5 points per game.

But during Friday’s 122-107 road win over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors forward wrote himself into the NBA’s history books, recording the league’s first triple-double with fewer than 10 points.

How did he do it? While Green scored just four points, he finished the game with 12 boards, 10 assists and 10 steals.

What’s more, Green’s 10 steals also set a Warriors franchise record, putting him in a large category with NBA greats who also had 10 in one game.

After the Warriors’ win, coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on Green’s performance, via the AP:

“That says it all right there,” Kerr said about the triple-double. “Draymond dominated that game. . [sic] That’s as dominant of a performance as I’ve ever seen from somebody who scored four points.”

We’ll see if Green can maintain these numbers – or close to them – in Saturday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
