LeBron delivers expletive-filled rant aimed at Cavs front office

LeBron James has a message for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ front office he’s delivering through the press: HELP!

The Cavs fell 124-122 to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, their fifth loss in seven games. Weeks after James called for the team to acquire an additional point guard, he had this to say, via ESPN:

“I just hope that we’re not satisfied as an organization,” James told a small group of beat reporters who travel regularly to cover Cleveland’s road games. “I just hope we’re not satisfied.” …

“It’s great to have bodies,” James said. “Obviously, in the playoffs, you go down to what, eight max? And if somebody gets in foul trouble, you go to nine. You’re not playing back-to-backs. You have two days in between. You’re able to lock in.”

“It’s like when you don’t have bodies. It’s tough,” James said. “The [expletive] grind of the regular season. We’re a top-heavy team. We have a top-heavy team. We top-heavy as [expletive]. It’s me, [Kyrie Irving], [Kevin Love]. It’s top-heavy.” …

“I’m not singling out anybody,” James said. “I’m not. Yeah, we won [the championship], but [expletive], you know what, let’s see if we can do something.”

James added the team needs “a [bleeping] playmaker. I’m not saying you can just go find one, like you can go outside and see trees. I didn’t say that.”

Last season, the superstar took to Twitter to motivate an underachieving team, which eventually helped deliver a ring to Cleveland. Could this be the beginning of more of the same?

James does have a point, even if he’s delivering it to the media and not in private. Irving’s backup is second-rounder Kay Felder, who averages 10 minutes a game. Perhaps it’s time for the Cavs to listen if they haven’t already started looking to appease James.
