The creative genius behind the blockbuster Divergent trilogy just published her new book, Carve the Mark (Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins).

In the new novel, the first of two books in a science fiction/fantasy series, Roth paints a story of a teen boy named Akos and a girl named Cyra, who live in a galaxy where everyone has a predetermined fate and a special power, which can be used for good or evil ends. When Akos and his brother are kidnapped and imprisoned by Cyra’s tyrannical brother, Ryzek, Cyra must deal with complicated emotions and her own lethal powers.​
