Lakers and Clippers fans booed when Chargers logo was shown on jumbotron during game

Los Angeles’ two NBA teams played against each other on Saturday at Staples Center, and Chargers tight end Jeff Cumberland was there, so they showed him on the jumbotron, as they usually do when anyone of note is in attendance. But before showing Cumberland, the Chargers’ new logo was shown.

It made for a pretty awkward moment. Fans booed the Chargers logo, but then sort of applauded Cumberland.

With two NFL teams in Los Angeles now, one of them will eventually become more popular than the other (as in one will be on the Lakers/Dodgers/Kings side and the other will be on the Clippers/Angels/Ducks side). For now, though, while both the Rams and Chargers aren’t very good, the confused booing/cheering will probably continue.

Welcome to LA!
