The main pool deck of the Seabourn Encore is a serene space with luxurious lounge chairs and a rectangular pool.

Just how swanky is the new Seabourn Encore? See for yourself with a scroll through the carousel above, which contains the first photos of the soon-to-be-christened, 600-passenger luxury ship.

Billed as one of the most upscale cruise vessels of the modern era, the new flagship for luxury line Seabourn was just completed at a shipyard in Italy. It's scheduled to be christened next month in Singapore.

As can be seen in the photos, the Encore offers an elegant, contemporary decor with signature spaces designed by noted hospitality designer Adam Tihany.

Among the spaces designed by Tihany are an airy main dining room and a version of the club-like social hub called Seabourn Square found on other Seabourn ships.

Encore is based on the same design as the three Odyssey Class ships that Seabourn has rolled out since 2009. But at 40,350 tons, the vessel is about 26% larger. It'll hold about 33% more passengers, based on double occupancy.

While similar in shape to the Odyssey Class ships, Encore has one more deck than the earlier vessels and expanded public areas.

A sister ship to Encore called Seabourn Ovation also is on order for delivery in 2018.
