Tuesday morning's Grammy nominations gave hundreds of artists a reason to celebrate, with many taking to Twitter to thank their friends, supporters and the Recording Academy.

Where were this year's Grammy nominees when they found out their lives were changing?

For the electronic duo the Chainsmokers, nominated for three Grammys including Best New Artist, they were standing in line at a Dunkin Donuts.

Kelly Clarkson found about her nomination on-air with SiriusXM's Morning Mashup.

Demi Lovato woke up to the good news.

As did Cassadee Pope, who tweeted from her bed.

Maxwell celebrated shirtless.

Other stars celebrated their friends' Grammy news on Twitter, with Joe and Nick Jonas congratulating their pal Demi Lovato, nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Confident.

Sean Paul, who featured on Sia's Cheap Thrills, was thrilled (sorry) about their nomination.

While Best New Artist hopefuls Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini were over the moon.

Actors, comedians and directors were excited to see their soundtracks and specials nominated, getting them one step closer to an EGOT.
