Air Canada will add three U.S. cities to its route map next year, part of a five-route expansion the carrier announced Wednesday.

Beginning in May, Air Canada will add service from its Toronto hub to Memphis, San Antonio and Savannah, Ga. All three are cities the airline does not currently serve. San Antonio and Savannah are new destinations for Air Canada while Memphis restores a destination the airline last flew to in 2012.

Additionally, Air Canada will launch service between Montreal and Dallas/Fort Worth and between Vancouver and Denver, also starting in May.

A sixth route – Vancouver-Phoenix – will be converted from seasonal service into year-round service.

“Along with providing convenient access to Canada's largest cities from major U.S. centers, these new services will also present customers attractive options to travel onward on our extensive domestic and international network by connecting easily through our major airport hubs," Benjamin Smith, Air Canada’s President - Passenger Airlines, says in a statement.

All of the new service will be operated by Air Canada’s Air Canada Express affiliates.

Details of the new routes are as follows:

Memphis-Toronto

Begins May 1; one daily round-trip flight on Bombardier CRJ-100 regional jets.

San Antonio-Toronto

Begins May 1; one daily round-trip flight on Embraer E175 aircraft.

Savannah-Toronto (seasonal)

Begins May 1 and runs through Oct. 15; six flights a week on Bombardier CRJ-100 regional jets.

Dallas/Fort Worth-Montreal

Denver-Vancouver

Begins May 18; two daily round-trip flights on Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets.

Phoenix-Vancouver

Begins May 1; one daily round-trip flight on Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets. The year-round service will replace a seasonal winter schedule Air Canada had been offering on its leisure-oriented Rouge unit.
