Samantha Bee returns to blast the Trump transition

A few weeks break from Full Frontal, while the presidential transition has chugged on, have left Samantha Bee feeling like Rocky. No, not when he triumphantly ran up the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum in the original movie, but when he got absolutely pummeled by Clubber Lang in Rocky III.

“You thought there were rules?” she asked after running through a montage of the various developments in the transition so far. “Psych!”

Bee went on to say that our institutions are “only as strong as the norms we all agree to live by — norms that suddenly seem as flimsy as the Scotch Tape holding Trump’s tie together.”

“If people who burn flags should lose their citizenship, what happens to those who sexually assault them?” she asked. “Oh, right, they become president.”
