The Harrisons: Four NFL figures who flopped in Week 13

Chris D'Amico

The Harrisons for NFL Week 13.

In honor of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison's bold stance, our weekly award for players and coaches in the NFL for people who didn't even deserve a participation trophy. For Week 13:

T.J. Clemmings, Vikings

We know he got thrust into the starting left tackle role because of injuries elsewhere. But that was back in September. On Thursday night, against an average Cowboys defensive line, he, um, well, wasn’t very good. We actually think some Cowboys got Pro Bowl votes after that game.

Colin Kaepernick, 49ers

OK, it was snowing. We get that. But 1-for-5 for 4 yards? And then he gave this answer when asked about Chip Kelly taking him out of the loss to the Bears: “I was surprised.” Well, imagine how shocked he was when he didn’t get the participation trophy for Week 13.

Rams organization

From the owner who re-upped Jeff Fisher to Fisher himself for the product he puts on the field to the players, especially the offense, who did yet another no-show on Sunday. The only people enjoying this … live in St. Louis.

Carson Wentz, Eagles

Everyone wants to talk about the Eagles’ lack of receivers, and that’s fair. But this bad performance was on you, rook. Three interceptions and the Bengals dropped three more in the first half. We will take it as a speed bump for now – though the Browns front office keeps calling us, saying, “see, we knew it.” (Just kidding.)
