‘Saturday Night Live’: Bill Murray, Chicago Cubs sing ‘Go Cubs Go’

"They're singing go, Cubs, go."

Expressive Chicago Cubs superfan Bill Murray joined World Series champs Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler on Saturday Night Live as "the winners of Weekend Update’s first ever The Voice contest."

“You on the end, you look familiar,” Colin Jost said to Murray. “Did you use to work here?”

“I did,” Murray admitted. “But that was so many lifetimes ago. Right now, for me, it’s all about our music.”

Dressed like a barbershop quartet in matching straw boaters with bright blue Cubs sweaters, the group belted out the tune that the cast of Hamilton – and probably everyone in Chicago – recently sang.

The MLB pros also appeared in a risqué sketch with the show’s host, Benedict Cumberbatch, who played the part of a stripper dressed as a construction worker. Dr. Strange gave Grandma (Aidy Bryant) a “fun sandwich” and dug a cherry out her mouth, a prelude to the Cubs. That is one lucky grandmother if you overlook that heart attack brought on by her surprise bachelorette party.
