The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have been available for a little more than a month, yet rumors continue to swirl about next year's smartphone.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, Apple will launch three iPhone models next year, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the company's flagship device. All three iPhones — sporting 4.7-, 5- and 5.5-inch touchscreens, will all feature glass backs, says the report.

The tech giant is looking to recharge sales of the iPhone, which were down during Apple's fiscal fourth quarter. Apple also ended the fiscal year with its first decline in revenue since 2001.

Shares of Apple slipped 2.7% in afternoon trading.

Apple had used glass back on earlier models of the iPhone before switching to an aluminum back with the launch of the iPhone 5 in 2012.

Apple reported fourth-quarter iPhone shipments of 45.5 million, down 5% from the 48 million shipped a year ago.
