See the trailer for Tom Brady and Michael Strahan’s new sports series

Tom Brady and Michael Strahan have co-produced a documentary series with Deepak Chopra’s son, Gotham.

Above, you’ll see the trailer. The cinematography is stunning, and the subjects covered are fascinating. (I’ve seen the first episode; it’s so well done.)

“Religion of Sports,” aims to examine the way that sports has, in many corners of our culture, been elevated to something spiritual — able at once to unify disparate groups and drive people apart. It explores distinct and unique worlds like NASCAR, minor league baseball, UFC, rodeo, eSports and the most heated Scottish football rivalry.

In a press release, both Brady and Strahan said their fondest memories as children came when sports transcended the action on the field. Brady recalled the feeling of watching “The Catch” — Joe Montana to Dwight Clark for the winning touchdown of the 1982 NFC Championship game — as a 4-year-old with his father, while Strahan, who grew up in Germany, reflected on that country’s reaction to winning the 1990 World Cup.

Strahan, of course, sacked Brady to help the Giants win Super Bowl XLII, a game that hinged on David Tyree’s ridiculous catch — which was about the closest thing you’ll get to a miracle on a football field.

The series will air on the AUDIENCE Network, which is only available to AT&T U-verse and DIRECTV subscribers, starting Tuesday, Nov. 15.
