Chris Pratt will meet Anna Faris' TV 'Mom'

Chris Pratt may have faced off against evil assassin Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy but is he prepared to go up against Allison Janney?

We'll find out in 2017, when he guest-stars alongside real-life spouse Anna Faris and Janney, who plays her acerbic, ex-addict mother on CBS' Mom.

It's been a good week for Pratt fans, considering the casting news comes just days after the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 teaser.

On Saturday, he told her via Twitter, "Can't wait to work with you again, honey!"

Entertainment Weekly reports Pratt is set to play a horseback riding instructor who catches the eye of Faris' character Christy, a single mom and former alcoholic. The only barrier is the fact that he's the nephew of her Mimi, her friend from her AA group, who has declared him off-limits.

Pratt and Faris first met in 2007 at a table read for the romantic comedy Take Me Home Tonight, in which they played a couple. They married in 2009 and have a son, Jack.
