A wet Wednesday is forecast for the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. By the evening and into Thursday, drenching rain could lead to flooding in the Mid-Atlantic and Central Appalachians.

Midwest, East: A soggy day is on tap for the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. By the evening and into Thursday, heavy rain will pelt the Mid-Atlantic and central Appalachians, where flooding is a concern.

West: The northern Rockies will be warm and dry Wednesday while temperatures stay cool over the Pacific Northwest. A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible over portions of the Southwest and southern Rockies.
