Punchlines: Will Melania's words save Trump?

It's been more than a week since the world heard Donald Trump make lewd statements about his treatment of women in a taped conversation from 2005 with Billy Bush. And until Monday, the Republican presidential nominee's wife, Melania Trump, had been relatively quiet about the incident. But when she finally broke her silence, speaking to CNN's Anderson Cooper, she blamed Bush.

Melania said the former Today show host "egged on" her husband and encouraged him to make inappropriate remarks. Late-night comic Stephen Colbert said Melania's statement explains why Donald spoke on a bus. He and his wife wanted the opportunity to throw Bush under it. Colbert got his own exclusive interview. See what else Laura Benanti (channeling Melania) had to say about the comments.

And there's one election that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has already won. Find out what, and how predictive it might be, in today's Punchlines, above.
