Who are the top NASCAR drivers in merchandise sales?

NASCAR’s 13-time defending most popular driver wins at the cash register, too.

According to a release from Fanatics, Dale Earnhardt Jr. leads in sales on the one-year anniversary of its trackside merchandise tent taking over as the official method of purchasing driver gear at Sprint Cup events.

Earnardt, who is currently out of the No. 88 Chevrolet because of concussion-like symptoms, is followed by Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson, who's won six titles in NASCAR's premier series, and Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch, the reigning Sprint Cup champion.

Chevrolet could be seeing end of era in NASCAR

Sales of gear for rookie Chase Elliott have nearly quadrupled this season, helping the 20-year-old rank fourth. Retiring three-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart is sixth, with teammate Danica Patrick seventh.
