The Rams are trying to sell merchandise to the fans they abandoned in St. Louis

The Rams aren’t done with St. Louis just yet. There’s still money to be made.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, former season-ticket holders in the Rams’ previous home received an interesting email this week, offering the chance to buy “Rams sideline headwear worn by the players and coaches during the 2016 season.”

“When I got this email, I thought at first someone was playing a sick joke on me,” former season ticket holder Joseph Nassif told the Post-Dispatch. “When I realized it was from the Rams, I was shocked.”

“I was the last one to keep his tickets all the way to the very end,” he said. “I practice law in a building owned by Stan, which makes me sick to my stomach.”

Fellow fan Todd Thrasher wasn’t surprised when the email showed up in his inbox:

“Sending an email wanting me to buy more gear right around the time I’d normally be getting my season tickets in the mail,” Thrasher said. “No surprise considering the way they’ve treated the fans and this city. I’m one of those long-time season ticket-holders who was lied to right to my face by (Kevin) Demoff. It was easy for me to just hit ‘unsubscribe.’ I just hope the Rams’ organization didn’t hide some malware in that ‘unsubscribe’ link!”

A spokesman for the Rams told the Post-Dispatch the email blast was inadvertently sent from an old database of season ticket holders. But it’s tough to give the organization the benefit of the doubt after it placed ads behind home plate at a St. Louis Cardinals game.

Just leave these poor fans alone already. They’ve been through enough.
