It all started so well for Arsenal. After missing a penalty, Theo Walcott scored on a quick counter to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead in their Premier League curtain-raiser.
Then Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho did this:
Arsenal keeper Petr Cech never stood a chance. The ball was placed perfectly into the top-left corner of the goal, just outside the reach of a diving Cech.
The floodgates opened from there, as Liverpool added three more goals, including Coutinho’s second, to build a commanding lead at the Emirates.
UPDATE: Liverpool held off a late push by Arsenal to win 4-3.
