Kim Kardashian’s BlackBerry broke, and she's not taking to it well.

Kardashian, reality show star and part of a dwindling community of fans of the once-ubiquitous device, tweeted she can’t find a replacement for her BlackBerry Bold on eBay.

Kardashian tweeted saying she has an iPhone, but needs two phones so she can be on two different phone services and “always have a working phone.”

This logic makes sense for the fashion icon/social media guru/ultimate Taylor Swift-exposer – Kardashian’s entire brand relies on “selfies” she can quickly upload to Snapchat and Instagram.

The BlackBerry Bold was one of the older makes of the smartphone, known for its signature physical keyboard. The phone uses BlackBerry OS, but newer BlackBerry phones employ Google's Android operating system.

Kardashian said she’s considering switching to Samsung to replace her broken phone. Samsung caught wind of the possibility, and attempted to court her via Twitter.

BlackBerry joined the party, too, promising to get Kardashian the right BlackBerry if she stays with their company.

Regardless of whether or not she makes the switch, it’s safe to say Kardashian’s pretty torn up about losing her BlackBerry.

She tweeted, “I really want my blackberry bold though. Reality is starting to set in & I’m getting sad.”

She proceeded to tweet an emoji (or "Kim-oji”) version of her BlackBerry, followed by an emoji of her in tears. The Crying Kim emoji is also her new Twitter icon.

If Kim Kardashian decides to ditch the BlackBerry, the company would likely lose its most visible patron. The U.S. Senate staff, another group of BlackBerry loyalists, is weaning itself off the smartphones.

Congress and other politicians – most notably Barack Obama – preferred BlackBerry due to its reputation as a highly secure smartphone, long battery life, prominence of e-mail and easy-to-use physical keyboard.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen said he takes pride in manufacturing one of the most secure phones on the market, and the company recently announced what it claims is the most secure Android smartphone, the DTEK50.

However, the company continues to shrink from the behemoth it once was. Its stock price fell 74% to around $7 over the last five years.

BlackBerry reportedly sold 500,000 phones in its last three-month quarter, ending on May 31. Apple, in contrast, sold 51 million iPhones in the same time period.

BlackBerry (BBRY) shares were up slightly at $7.78 the day of Kardashian’s meltdown.
