As if you needed another reminder, this woman can SING.

At a Democratic National Convention full of all-star performances, the week's most thrilling concert happened across the river from the arena floor.

Lady Gaga was the special guest at Camden Rising, an event supporting the DNC, which also featured Lenny Kravitz and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Cory Booker introduced the singer with a speech praising Gaga's messages of inclusivity in her music. "She is a person of extraordinary light, but she does not cast any shadows," the New Jersey senator said. "She is a person that uses her star power to illuminate all corners of our country. She is a person with an amazing voice, but she inspires us to speak out and sing out."

In just a handful of songs, Gaga further proved herself as one of pop's most thrilling chameleons, with a set full of rock classics and misty-eyed jazz. The singer covered Neil Young, Phil Ochs, and the Beatles' Come Together before playing a stripped-down medley of hits like Bad Romance and You & I on the piano, a horn section backing her up.

The concert closed with Gaga's version of a classic, Edith Piaf's La Vie En Rose.

In between songs, she shared stories of fame — like working in the same studio as Young — and family, connecting with the crowd about her father's New Jersey roots.
