Patriots radio commentator cheers on Rob Gronkowski's dirty hit: 'Good. Good for him.'

You’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone who approves of Rob Gronkowski’s dirty hit on Bills rookie Tre’Davious White during the Patriots’ win in Buffalo on Sunday, but we were able to find one guy who was into it.

Scott Zolak, a former Patriots backup QB and the team’s color commentator for its radio broadcasts, thought White got away with a hold on Gronk. That, apparently, excuses what the big tight end did after the whistle. Take a listen…

“Good. Good for him,” Zolak says. “You’re going to hold him the whole way?”

No, not good for him. This is a dirty play that should result in a fine at the very least. A suspension would also be reasonable.

Gronkowski made a dangerous play, for which he has already apologized, that left White in the concussion protocol. Zolak, being a former player and not some deranged fan (although he totally comes off as one here), should know better than to glorify this reckless behavior and should also be facing discipline for this classless call.
