Dale Hansen is a legendary Dallas-area sportscaster who has become well know for his segment called “Hansen Unplugged,” a chance for him to speak candidly on issues both inside and outside the sports world.

In this rousing speech on the shooting in Dallas, he bemoans the state of violence that has become commonplace in this country.

“We’ll fly our flags at half-mast, we’ll say all the right things, we’ll make promises we won’t keep, and then, nothing will change,” he says. “Our lives will go on, while the lives of so many others won’t, because we expect it now and we accept it.”
