Johnny Manziel is wearing a Josh Gordon Browns jersey in Mexico

Looks like Johnny Manziel is enjoying some time in Mexico.

Tuesday, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He’s wearing an autographed Josh Gordon Browns jersey. Gordon, who is serving a suspension by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, was one of Manziel’s friends when he still played for Cleveland.

@flashgordonxii I won’t take this thing off for a week. You my brother FOR LIFE. JUST WAIT ON THIS COMEBACK!!!! #CaboWabo#JoshAintHere #hiDad#HappyBdayDaveEvans

There’s a lot to unpack in this Instagram caption. For instance, Manziel promises a comeback and also includes the hashtag “#hiDad” which appears to be a shoutout to his father Paul, who just days ago told ESPN that his son is a druggie and “hopes he goes to jail.”

Manziel also took a selfie with the pilot.

This trip to Cabo comes days after the attorney handling Manziel’s domestic violence case accidentally texted The Associated Press with details about a possible plea deal. The attorney, who has since left the case, didn’t seem confident that Manziel would be able to pass a drug test.

“Heaven help us if one of the conditions is to pee in a bottle,” attorney Bob Hinton texted the AP.
